Questions, answered

What exactly gets redacted?
Names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, and identifiers such as account and ID numbers are detected and replaced with placeholders. Every item is listed and counted, so you can see what was found before you copy anything into an LLM.
Do you keep my data?
You control it. We keep the original alongside each redaction so it can be unredacted later. Delete a redaction and the original, the uploaded and generated files, and the record of what was found all go with it. Delete your account, confirmed by email, and everything goes; all that stays is a count of how many redactions you made.
Why would I need this?
Because the useful thing to ask an LLM is usually the thing you are not allowed to send it. Redacting first lets you ask the real question, and unredacting afterwards gives you an answer you can actually file.
Will my Word formatting survive?
Documents go out as Word files with their formatting, headings and footnotes in place. Complex tables are the known rough edge and we are working on them.
